Introduction
The Guangxi Minority Cultural Relics Garden is adjacent to the Museum of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning City. Completed in 1988, the Center covers an area of 24,000 square meters. It is a unique outdoor museum that is used to house the relics of various minorities in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Unique architectures of various minorities such asGanlanof Zhuang nationality, bamboo buildings of the Yao nationality, houses projecting over the water of the Miao nationality, and drum towers and storm-proof bridges of the Dong nationality, are all displayed here. Inside these buildings, the daily use articles and handcrafts are also o­n display.
Nanning belongs to humid subtropical monsoonal climate with abundant sunshine and rain. The temperature is mild, the summer is long and the winter is short with an average annual temperature of 21.6℃. All the year is the suitable time to travel.

Guangxi Minority Cultural Relics Garden Features

Highlight
It features relics, folk buildings, ethnic flavor, and folk customs of four minorities, Zhuang, Dong, Yao, and Miao.
Upon entering the central gate, o­ne will see a huge timbal which is a wonderful achievement of the bronze culture in ancient China, with a history of more than 2,700 years. There are more than 320 timbals in the centre, among which the Yunleiwen Timbal is the largest in the world. It weighs around 300 kilograms (about 661 pounds), with a diameter of 165 centimeters (about 65 inches) and stands 67.5 centimeters (about 26.5 inches) in height.
Typical buildings of several minorities can be seen here, such as dwelling houses of Zhuang people, bamboo buildings of the Yao's, houses constructed o­n water by the Miao people and finally, the drum-towers of Dong people. Their daily utensils and handicrafts are also displayed in each respective model house. Various folk performances will be shown during festivals. This is where o­ne can fully appreciate the enchanting and unique customs of the minorities of Guangxi.
Whilst there, o­ne can also visit several workshops that demonstrate extraction of oil and sugar, rice grinding, paper and pottery making, etc, each of which is unique o­n its own. o­n top of that, tourists visiting the Miao building will be treated to its unique folk dishes.
In addition, there are restaurants of different minority groups in the bamboo buildings of the center, providing tourists with various delicacies and dishes with special flavors. If you visit there in festivals, you also have the chance to see the beautiful minority's performances there.
